Protein Balls With Almond Butter

I love having a stash of protein balls in the house! They are perfect for a mid day snack, snack after work, and even breakfast when I don’t leave enough time for breakfast.

This recipe can make anywhere from 18-24 balls depending on the size balls you make.

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of but butter (I used organic almond butter)

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/3 cup of honey

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup of dried cranberries

1/4 cup flax seed

Shaved chocolate ( I didn’t measure this, just added as much as I wanted 🙂 )

Mix it all together and roll into balls.  It gets a little messy. I normally have to rinse my hands 5-6 times throughout rolling the balls, otherwise the mixtures sticks to my hand and doesn’t form pretty balls.

 

 

The best part of this recipe is that you can change it up with whatever grains, fruits, and nut butters you like. This recipe is pretty standard for me, because my husband and I both like cranberries.
