Berry Merry Christmas Sangria

I was looking on pinterest for a great holiday sangria with white wine that I could make for my girlfriends, who were coming over for a lady day of baking Christmas cookies/treats. I found this one, and used it as inspiration for my own!

This is enough for 8-10 ladies.
Ingredients:
2 bottles of Pinot Grigio
1/2 bottle of savignon blanc
Entire bottle of white grape juice
Two bottles of angry orchard Apple cider beer
Entire package of fresh rosemary
Entire bag of cranberries
1 1/2 containers of blueberries
Package of pomegranates

You can use any Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. I used Collaboration from Cooper’s Hawk Winery, Lumina by Ruffino for my Pinot Grigio’s, and a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc by Nobilo.

The Wine cost no more than $12 a bottle. I don’t buy expensive wine for sangria because I have found the cheaper wine tastes better when all mixed together, and I like to save my more expensive bottles for a nice dinner with my husband/or friends.

My girlfriends really liked it- and said that it was the perfect combination of sweet and tart, and the only thing they would
Change or add is bubbles. I think next time I will do 1/4 of a bottle of grape juice and then a bottle of sparkling white grape juice!
If you can make it the day before and let the sangria sit over night in the fridge – that will bring out the best – if you don’t have that much time- try to make it at least a few hours before it is served.

Until my next ladies date,

Lisa Annie
